Bowles Rice Welcomes Attorney Gabriele Wohl

Charleston, West Virginia – Bowles Rice is pleased to announce that attorney Gabriele Wohl has joined the firm’s Charleston, West Virginia office.  An experienced litigator, she will focus her practice on business litigation and appeals, complex civil litigation and white collar defense.

Before joining Bowles Rice, Wohl served as an Assistant United States Attorney for the Southern District of West Virginia, where she prosecuted violations of federal law involving fraud, public corruption, identity theft and drug trafficking.

From 2013 to 2014, Wohl served as Deputy General Counsel to former West Virginia Governor Earl Ray Tomblin, where she advised on legal and public policy matters, drafted legislation and assisted in emergency response efforts.

Wohl gained experience as a law clerk for the Honorable Robert B. King of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit (2011-2013), the Honorable Irene C. Berger of the United States District Court for the Southern District of West Virginia (2010-2011) and the Honorable John T. Copenhaver, Jr., of the United States District Court for the Southern District of West Virginia (2009-2010).

Wohl earned her law degree from the West Virginia University College of Law, where she was Editor-in-Chief of the West Virginia Law Review. She received her bachelor’s degree in political science from Wellesley College in Massachusetts.
