Managing Partner Thomas A. Heywood to Continue on MATRIC Board of Directors.
Bowles Rice Managing Partner Thomas A. Heywood will continue to serve as a member of the 2014 Board of Directors of the Mid-Atlantic Technology, Research & Innovation Center (MATRIC), according to an announcement by Steven Hedrick, the organization's President and CEO.
MATRIC is an independent, non-profit corporation, with facilities in South Charleston and Morgantown, West Virginia, and a global roster of customers across six continents. It focuses on delivering solutions to technology and business problems in chemical, energy and environmental technologies; technical engineering; and advanced software technologies.
Mr. Heywood has significant experience in corporate, finance and commercial law, and is recognized by several professional, peer-review publications. He is an active participant in various business and economic development organizations, a leader in many civic initiatives and has received numerous awards for his public service. He served as Chief of Staff to former West Virginia Governor Gaston Caperton from 1989 to 1993.
