Bowles Rice Foundation Donates $60,000 to Fight Food Insecurity in Communities It Serves
$48,000 Gift to Mountaineer Food Bank Supports Five West Virginia Counties; Additional $12,000 Provided to Food Helpers in Pennsylvania

Charleston, W.Va. — The Bowles Rice Foundation has announced a $60,000 total charitable contribution to support food access across communities served by Bowles Rice LLP, including a significant $48,000 donation to Mountaineer Food Bank to directly benefit the West Virginia counties served by Bowles Rice offices in Charleston, Martinsburg, Morgantown, and Parkersburg. This contribution will help provide greater food security to the communities where Bowles Rice attorneys and staff live and work, reinforcing the firm’s longstanding commitment to supporting the well-being of its local communities.
Bowles Rice selected Mountaineer Food Bank as a key partner in addressing widespread food insecurity that continues to impact thousands of West Virginians. The Foundation’s support will help the Food Bank expand resources, supply partner organizations, and respond to growing demand for nutritious food across the region.

In addition to its West Virginia-focused contribution, the Bowles Rice Foundation has provided $12,000 to Food Helpers(Greater Washington County Food Bank) in Pennsylvania. This gift supports residents of Washington County—home to Bowles Rice’s Canonsburg office—and reinforces the Foundation’s commitment to serving communities across its regional footprint.
