Heywood Selected to Moderate Tri-State Shale Summit
Thomas A. Heywood, Managing Partner of Bowles Rice, served as the moderator of the Tri-State Shale Summit in Morgantown, West Virginia on October 13, 2015. The meeting was a collaborative effort on behalf of West Virginia, Pennsylvania and Ohio to facilitate a discussion about the opportunities in the Marcellus and Utica Shale regions.
The Summit featured panel discussions on topics including regionalism, manufacturing, workforce, research and innovation and education.
Among those in attendance were U.S. Senator Joe Manchin, D-WV, Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin of West Virginia and Ohio’s Lt. Gov. Mary Taylor. The governor of Pennsylvania, Tom Wolf, provided a video message.
During the event, Tomblin, Taylor and Wolf signed an agreement that pledged support and cooperation to ensure the continued development of natural gas industry in the Appalachian Basin.
