Attorney Floyd McKinley "Kin" Sayre to present at the Martinsburg-Berkeley County Chamber of Commerce

Bowles Rice attorney Floyd McKinley "Kin" Sayre will present at the Martinsburg-Berkeley County Chamber of Commerce's Rise & Shine Breakfast to be held May 1.

Mr. Sayre, a partner in the Martinsburg, West Virginia office of Bowles Rice and leader of the firm's tax group, will present "Municipal Sales Tax Affects Multiple Municipalities."

Mr. Sayre was recently elected to the West Virginia State Bar Board of Governors to represent District 16, marking the second time he has been elected to that position. He previously served from 1999 to 2002.

In addition to municipal and tax law, Mr. Sayre practices in the areas of corporate and commercial law and hospitality and gaming law.  He also is a member of the firm’s government relations team.

Mr. Sayre is consistently recognized by The Best Lawyers in America ® and was named Best Lawyers' Lawyer of the Year for Controversy and Litigation – Tax for the northern West Virginia region in 2012. 

He currently serves as the city attorney for Martinsburg, West Virginia, and is a member of the West Virginia Home Rule Board.  He is admitted to practice law in both West Virginia and Maryland.  He earned his law degree from the University of Arkansas in 1986 and received both his undergraduate degree and MBA from West Virginia University.  He also is a certified public accountant (CPA)
