Attorney Gerard R. Stowers Honored as a West Virginia Bar Foundation Fellow
Bowles Rice attorney Gerard R. Stowers was honored as a West Virginia Bar Foundation Fellow on April 23, in Charleston, West Virginia.
Mr. Stowers has 38 years of experience in all aspects of business and civil litigation. He focuses his practice on insurance coverage disputes, construction law, business disputes, legal malpractice defense and coal, oil and gas litigation.
His experience includes more than 100 civil jury and bench trials in federal and state courts as well as appeals before the Supreme Court of Appeals of West Virginia and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
He is the firm’s General Counsel and Risk Management Chair, handling conflicts, insurance coverage and firm claim avoidance.
Mr. Stowers is a former president and charter member of the West Virginia Defense Trial Counsel.

Mr. Stowers earned his law degree from the West Virginia University College of Law in 1976 and received his undergraduate degree from WVU.
