She is known for her strategic advocacy, both in and out of the courtroom, in matters that can profoundly impact a professional's reputation and ability to practice.
Over the course of her career, Unaiza has developed extensive experience navigating the complexities of healthcare-related litigation, including defending physicians and other licensed professionals in medical malpractice lawsuits and administrative board actions. Her work often involves highly sensitive regulatory and professional conduct issues, and she has successfully secured favorable resolutions before bodies such as the West Virginia Board of Medicine, the Board of Respiratory Care, and the Board of Examiners of Psychologists.
In addition to her trial and administrative hearing work, Unaiza advises medical professionals and other clients on risk management and litigation avoidance strategies.
