American Bar Association Free Legal Answers Summer Associate Challenge

Members of our firm's litigation team, along with our 2023 summer clerks, gathered in the Charleston office to participate in the American Bar Association Free Legal Answers Summer Associate Challenge, where they responded to legal questions from income-eligible individuals through The West Virginia State Bar's "West Virginia Free Legal Answers" program. Some of our summer clerks attended in person while others participated virtually from Bowles Rice offices in Morgantown, West Virginia and Southpointe, Pennsylvania.

The team of volunteers fielded a number of questions during the lunchtime session, with the goal of answering as many questions as possible. Bowles Rice Summer Clerk Coordinator Joshua Lanham commented, "Bowles Rice prides itself not only on its full-service legal practice, but also its deep involvement in the communities it serves. The ABA’s 2023 Summer Associate Challenge was a great way to show our summer clerks how truly dedicated Bowles Rice is to providing community service through pro-bono legal services."

In addition to our 2023 Summer Clerks, the Bowles Rice team consisted of team organizer Mark Adkins, Lindsay Gainer, Joshua Lanham, Grayson O'Saile, Unaiza Riaz Tyree, and Gabriele Wohl.
