Bowles Rice Welcomes New Attorney to Southpointe Office

Charleston, West Virginia – Bowles Rice is pleased to announce that attorney Michael R. Proctor has joined the firm’s Southpointe, Pennsylvania office.  A seasoned business litigator, he brings to the firm extensive experience managing business disputes for clients throughout Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Ohio.

Proctor’s experience in state and federal court includes oil and gas production disputes and contractual disputes. Specific examples of his litigation experience include contractual indemnification, Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) Articles 3 and 9, immunity of governmental entities in performing administrative duties and litigation of the concurrent jurisdiction of the bankruptcy courts and district courts.

In addition to his business litigation experience, Proctor is well versed in all aspects of bankruptcy law, representing clients on issues such as claim litigation, preferential transfers and nondischargeability actions.

A 2002 graduate of the University of Cincinnati College of Law, Proctor is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Ohio. He was recognized as a West Virginia Rising Star by Super Lawyers – a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high-degree of peer recognition and professional achievement – for five consecutive years (2013-2017).
