Ben Irwin

Ben Irwin brings nearly two decades of experience at the intersection of energy law, land management, and regulatory compliance, with a deep focus on oil and gas matters across the Appalachian Basin. He has experience leading operated and non-operated asset strategy, negotiating complex agreements, and advising on title, due diligence, and acquisition matters. Ben practices from the Southpointe, Pennsylvania office.

Having worked at both public and privately held oil and gas companies, Ben is uniquely positioned to provide valuable insight to his clients. Ben has experience in title analysis, drafting and securing curative items, leasing, and unit formation and has regularly appeared before the West Virginia Oil and Gas Conservation Commission. He has led negotiations across the upstream and midstream sectors and has advised on a range of environmental compliance and regulatory matters. In addition, Ben has played a key role in developing internal processes and budgeting strategies to support client operations.

Ben earned his law degree from Duquesne University School of Law, and a bachelor of fine arts degree from the University of Pittsburgh.
