Bowles Rice lawyers Aaron C. Boone, Ashley Hardesty Odell and Evan R. Kime have co-authored the 2015 West Virginia section of DRI’s “Insurance Bad Faith: A Compendium of State Law.”

Boone, Hardesty Odell and Kime are all partners in the firm, working in the Parkersburg, Morgantown and Charleston offices, respectively.

The authors and editors selected to pen individual sections of the compendium’s fourth edition have been “in the trenches defending bad faith and other extra-contractual claims,” according to DRI, the leading organization of defense attorneys and in-house counsel.

For every U.S. jurisdiction, the compendium details the cognizable causes of action, allowable damages and means by which they will be measured; the elements of proof on all issues of liability and damages; procedural and evidentiary requirements; recognized defenses and counterclaims; and unique bad faith and extra-contractual issues.
