Elisa Butler

Operating from the firm’s Southpointe office, Elisa Butler is a seasoned Land Professional and Project Manager supporting Bowles Rice’s Energy Practice. She works closely with the firm’s energy attorneys and clients to ensure title matters are handled efficiently, accurately, and in alignment with each client’s operational and business objectives.

With more than 20 years of abstracting and title experience throughout Appalachia, Elisa brings extensive expertise in oil, gas, coal, and real estate title. She conducts and oversees detailed title research, analyzes complex ownership histories, and proactively identifies and helps resolve potential title issues – reducing risk and supporting timely project development.

As part of Bowles Rice’s comprehensive Energy Practice, Elisa contributes to multidisciplinary teams serving clients across the energy lifecycle, from due diligence and development to acquisition and divestiture. She is known for her responsiveness, attention to detail, and ability to manage complex, fast-paced projects while maintaining clear communication with attorneys, land professionals, and clients.

Elisa’s deep understanding of regional title practices and the unique challenges of Appalachian energy development allows her to deliver practical, solution-oriented support that helps clients move projects forward with confidence.
