Managing Partner Tom Graff announced today that Barbara G. Joseph has joined the law firm of Bowles Rice McDavid Graff & Love LLP as Client Development Director.  She is located in the Charleston office and coordinates the firm’s strategic marketing plan and supervises the Client Development Team.

“Bowles Rice is delighted to welcome Barbara Joseph.  Her talents and experience in marketing and advertising will be an incredible asset to our firm,” Graff said.

Ms. Joseph joined Bowles Rice from Charleston Area Medical Center’s Ryan White Program, where she was the outreach coordinator.  She was responsible for the program’s marketing and public relations activities, as well as collaborating with community organizations and service providers.

She is a former vice president of the advertising division at Charles Ryan Associates, where she supervised the firm’s creative and account management staff.  She left the firm after eight years to form her own consulting business, providing creative and media services to a variety of clients in West Virginia and Virginia.  For the past six years, Barbara also has acted as the WV media coordinator for the state’s Wendy’s High School Heisman Awards Program, which recognizes high school senior men and women for excellence in academics, athletics and community and school involvement.

Ms. Joseph is an active member of her community.  She has served on Local School Improvement Councils at the elementary and middle school levels and is a past board member of Read Aloud Kanawha County.  Since 1996, she has been an active volunteer grant writer.  Her efforts have resulted in nearly $500,000 in funding for fine arts, recreation and technology in public schools.

Bowles Rice is a regional law firm with offices in Charleston, Martinsburg, Morgantown, and Parkersburg, West Virginia; Lexington, Kentucky; and Winchester, Virginia.
