Bowles Rice LLP, an established law firm with offices throughout West Virginia, Virginia, and Pennsylvania, is seeking a paralegal with experience in commercial transactions, entity formation, preparation of corporate and LLC documents; preparation of deeds and estate and trust planning and administration to join its busy tax practice in the Charleston office.

Our tax, business and estate planning practice includes a diverse group of clients.  We assist our clients with a variety of objectives, including asset protection and charitable giving, tax planning, business formation, commercial transactions, estate administration, Medicaid eligibility, tax reduction and state and local taxation.

The ideal candidate has experience with entity formation, drafting estate planning documents, experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, an organized and detail-oriented work style, has strong academic credentials, possesses strong analytic, oral and written communication skills, and has a minimum of two years’ relevant experience.  Must be able to successfully pass all required background checks, including Criminal.

The areas of responsibility for this role include, but are not limited to, assisting business clients with corporate maintenance, including business formation, filings with the Secretary of State; maintaining the highest standard of care for all private client information and protected privileged information; and improving organization and efficiency of the practice.  Additionally, this position includes assisting in the drafting of estate plans for clients; drafting and filing deeds; assisting clients with trust funding; and assisting with probate cases and trust administrations.
