Christopher Nahley

Christopher Nahley focuses his work largely on energy law, oil and gas law, real estate law and commercial litigation. As a partner in the Parkersburg, West Virginia office, he regularly performs mineral title examinations and prepares certified title opinions for energy clients in the region. Chris’ work includes, but not limited to:

  • Preparation and review of original drilling opinions, due diligence and acquisition projects, division order title opinions, and drilling unit title opinions
  • Drafting of curative instruments
  • Drafting of oil and gas leases, amendments, assignments, and ratifications
  • Real property and commercial litigation

Chris is licensed to practice law in West Virginia and Alabama.

Prior to joining Bowles Rice, Chris worked as an independent contractor performing the duties of a petroleum and gas landman and attorney. In that role, he drafted title opinions and mineral reports. He also handled title abstracting and conducted due diligence research and reporting.
