Unanimous Supreme Court Denies Unemployment Claim Involving Separation Package Offered Under CBA

Mark Dellinger, leader of the Bowles Rice Labor and Employment Practice Group, recently obtained a unanimous ruling from the Supreme Court of Appeals of West Virginia, in favor of Verizon Services Corp., in the defense of an unemployment compensation claim where the claimant’s employment was terminated based on the acceptance of a separation package offered pursuant to the terms of the parties’ collective bargaining agreement.  To review a copy of the decision, click here.
