William L. Burner

Associate

William L. Burner is an associate practicing in the firm's Martinsburg, West Virginia office. He is a member of the Litigation Team and the Cybersecurity and Information Privacy Team.

Prior to joining the firm, Will served as a law clerk to the Honorable Gina M. Groh, Chief Judge of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of West Virginia (2016-2018) and the Honorable James E. Seibert, Magistrate Judge of the same district (2015-2016). His duties included drafting orders and memoranda, research, docket management and preparation for court proceedings.

Will earned his law degree from the West Virginia University College of Law, where he was a Senior Research Editor for the West Virginia Law Review, a Fellow for the Center for Law & Public Service, a Teaching Assistant for the first-year Legal Reasoning, Research and Writing program and a CALI Award winner. He earned his bachelor of science degree in criminal justice from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. At the beginning of 2019, Will completed the Blockchain Overview: Business Foundations course offered by the Blockchain Training Alliance.
